Compaq Professional Services, Brussels, Belgium

Designed components & application modules for of an e-commerce application for Euroclear. This online application (Funds) was designed to manage the financial transactions for the subsidiary companies and partner members in the European market. Euroclear was an extensive move from a client server environment to a more extensive and secure web based e-commerce site. The framework for this was built using visual basic and com components. The security used was a 128bit encryption digital signature implemented using PKI and a web authorization manager application.

Sopheon PLC, Amsterdam, Netherlands

We worked on the development and customization of documentation software being made for hospitals and major chemical companies in the Netherlands. Our role on this project was producing the output for the Internet and Intranet using vbScript, Java, Html, Xml, Asp, XSL, Css style sheets, visual studio and visual interdev. We also worked on the core application using visual basic 6 Com ability, wrote some DLL’s that communicated with the oracle database, and configured the application.

GTS Esprit Telecommunications, Dusseldorf, Germany

Planning and implementing a Y2k audit with consequent code analysis and modification for all existing software used by Esprit telecom. Our major role on this project included testing all software developed in Visual basic, Access and SQL server; and making them Y2K compliant by single line code fixing or total redevelopment of these applications if necessary. Some of the test tools include Visual Datescope and Tracer 2000, while others were personally developed software which automated the necessary changes. We were also required to develop some components and plug-ins for the development of a new billing system using Vb6.

KLM Airlines, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Redesigning and converted the functionality of 16bit software applications used in the cargo department to 32bit VB applications. As part of a move to a 32bit environment these applications have been translated to run under Windows 95 and NT workstation with the database connection moved to Star SQL via NT servers. These newer applications have taken advantage of Vb.’s ability to generate COM objects and the use of interfaces. Development of new visual basic applications communicating with a TPF system that is mainframe based, through a middle-ware application called Rumba. Upsizing and merging existing standalone databases to a larger more effective client server SQL6.5 database.

Aspect Telecommunications, Essen, Germany

We worked with a team to develop a call center for Otello Communication, which was one of the major telecommunication service providers in Germany. This Call center was engineered using VB5 object oriented programming techniques & some C++ and interfaced with CTI servers. We were directly involved in the decision making in the design and analysis of the software applications required. We developed Active X controls which were incorporated in the call center, we also developed some of the object models and carried out extensive testing on the software that was developed and effectively corrected the shortcomings.
